NOVEMBER VEGAS PROMOTIONS

Slot Club Changes in the Works

  1. M life players club benefit changes coming to MGM December 15, 2015.
  2. Circus Circus is not a part of M life, but has its own club.  However, they say that they will have a new tier structure at the beginning of 2016.

WARNING:  Watch for this promotional hazard when you use a food coupon:  Some may say “One coupon per table” rather than the more usual “per person” wording.

BOYD PROPERTIES (The Orleans, Gold Coast, Suncoast, and Sam’s Town)

The “B Loyal to the Royal” promotion continues for the 3rd straight month at the Gold Coast Sunday-Thursday, November 1-26.  (Notice that includes Thanksgiving Day!) And I see on the Orleans promotion page online that this is going on at The Orleans also.  (Wonder did I miss it there in October??)

The Orleans and Gold Coast have teamed up to offer an all-day buffet pass – $27 Monday-Thursday and $30 Friday-Sunday. You can eat all day at one casino or the other – or run back and forth between the two and work off all that food you can eat at both places!

Both The Orleans and the Gold Coast give discounts for individual meals if you show your players card, the amount depending on your tier level:

Ruby – $1 off

Sapphire – $3 off

Emerald – $5 off

We like both of these buffets, especially the one at The Orleans, with a good selection of no-sugar-added desserts, including vanilla and chocolate soft-serve plus caramel and vanilla hard-dipped ice cream. Also, it includes lots of gluten-free options for those who need this special consideration.

Advance notice: NFR After Parties have been moved from the Gold Coast to The Orleans this December-.

TUSCANY

The 20% all-month senior discount travels to the gift shop in November.

STATIONS

The Stations Wednesday point multiplier for 50+ seniors is no longer a mystery multiplier. It’s now 6x on video poker, not “up to” 6x. See all the senior discounts here.

PALMS

Some of the machines that had not been showing a running point count on the card reader have been “fixed” to solve this problem.  Hopefully that has been done throughout the casino.

“Play for Prizes” is running as usual Monday through Friday. Play for Best Buy gift cards November 2-13.  Play for Albertsons gift cards November 16-27.  Redemption times are the same as usual, Monday through Thursday, 10 a.m.-10 p.m., and Fridays 10 a.m.-midnight.

Again, many gift days are offered – every Saturday and Sunday in November.   To earn the gift-of-the-day, you need 100 base points on video slots or 500 base points on video poker, on that same day between 12:01 a.m. and 6:59 p.m.

Weekly drawings continue at 7 p.m. on Fridays – 10 winners each week win up to $3000 cash.   (Earn 2x entries Fridays 4 p.m.-6:30 p.m. and 5x entries Fridays 8 p.m.-11:59 p.m.)  There is an added “Bonus Play”: “Activate 10 or more base drawing entries and receive $10 in Free Slot Play on Saturday.”  More details at Club Palms.

Update on the item I wrote here in September:  The area between Hooters and the table games is back to normal, including the return of the quarter full-pay Deuce machines.  That whole section of the casino had been cleared out earlier in the week for what we finally found out (thanks to a LVA QOD) was a private pool party September 29 sponsored by an unnamed “tech company.”   It was reported that Beyoncé was paid SIX MILLION to perform a private concert at that party!

Now an UPDATE to the Update:  The LVA QOD later reported that this party, among other held in town, were for the world-wide employees of Uber.  I read so much about this ride-sharing company – like it is taking over the world!!!

I may get a chance to be in Vegas in Dec, what is an NFR after party?( I do know its the rodeo, is it event or party related?)
Are they in a specific location at the Orleans or just more people to deal with?

  2. Sylvia K Gosline says:

Do you know what that last item on the MGM benefits changes is about. We can still room charge but it will not be a benefit?
