This promo I mentioned in yesterday’s blog has generated a lot of interest, but also some questions. Here are some additional details.
It sounds like a gastro nightmare, but you can do this promo at both casinos in one day! However, you need to follow the rules. You must earn 50 Total Rewards points at Planet Hollywood (points earned at any other CZR properties don’t count for this promo) to get the voucher for the PH Spice Market buffet. Same rule for the Rio – you must earn 50 Total Rewards at – and only at – the Rio for their Carnival World buffet.
There may be kiosks at each casino where you can print out your voucher once you have done the required play without having to stand in line at the players club counter. Brad and I weren’t able to do this at a kiosk, having to stand in line, although a friend was successful. Who knows why the difference? One Planet Hollywood players club clerk told me that there were different kinds of kiosks at their casino, with some dedicated only to this promotion and which was advertised on the home screen. Other kiosks were just for checking your Total Rewards account.
I think I just gained 5 pounds by writing about this promo for two days straight!
Right now they are saying through the end of the year.

Just got back from the Rio. I earned 2 buffets and my wife earned one. There does seem to be differences at the kiosks. Some kiosks ask for a pin and some ask for a birthday. My wife tried to get her voucher and couldn’t and I tried later and it printed without any problems. . We really enjoyed the Carnival World buffet.
