We ran across an unwelcome surprise at both the Rio and Caesars Palace buffets during the period between Christmas and New Year’s: an increase in prices with no prior notice and no signage. They called it “holiday pricing.” One might expect this on the actual holiday, but not on the days before and after the actual holiday.
The Rio buffet was very confusing, with the “dual” sections: the “regular” buffet plus the “seafood” side which you could only visit by paying an extra charge and getting your hand stamped. A stern “guard” was stationed between the two sections. We aren’t seafood lovers so we didn’t pay the extra charge so I don’t know what all was on the seafood side, but I noticed there were still crab legs on the “regular” line. I wonder if this complicated arrangement will last?
