Brad sends a big “Thank You” for all the birthday wishes. He had a great day, with lots of phone calls, Facebook messages, and in-person greetings as we made our usual Friday casino rounds. We cashed checks and did our free Megabucks pulls at the Palms. We collected bounce-back cash or free play at four casinos and played some video poker at two of them. Finally we attended a drawing – in which our names were NOT drawn. 🙁
By then we were hungry. We had already eschewed all the invitations from several hosts who had made birthday calls to Brad that morning offering us a nice gourmet dinner. We had comps all over town for food – fancy or fast. But we were tired – and suddenly sitting at home watching TV sounded invitingly warm and relaxing. So we stopped at the Taco Bell to take home for dinner two Mexican pizzas, one of our favorite meal treats. Brad declared this was the perfect end of a perfect birthday!
