June Vegas Promotions

PALMS

The “Play, Earn, and Win” promotion continues on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, and it’s back to “stuff.”  I really liked the free play option they gave last month and I hope they offer it again – and often!!!  Also returning this month is the feature that allows you to combine your points over multiple days, so be warned that the lines in the Promotion Center probably will be very very long on Friday late afternoons and evenings.

A mini earn-and-swipe promotion continues on Tuesdays.  And their usual drawings continue on Fridays and Saturday nights at 8 p.m. with a “Grand Prize Tournament” on June 30.

The Sterling Thursdays continue for senior 50+, with a swipe and win promo, blackjack and mini-baccarat tournaments, $4 movies, and a 3 p.m. show on June 20 in the Lounge with Bethany Owen “Country Queens.”

TUSCANY

I haven’t received their mailer yet, but when I called to check on promotions they said there were no gift cards or pull tabs this month.  New promotion is some kind of tournament on Saturdays.  Check Scot’s list later for multiplier days.

THE “COAST” CASINOS

Multiple-point information for these properties is getting complicated.  It seems there are various kinds of bonuses:  for all players, for seniors only, for all properties, for only one property, for locals only, and then individual ones that you get only if it is mentioned in your mailer.  Scot is trying to keep up with this situation, so you need to go often to his promotion list on the LVA Web site.  And if in doubt, call the individual casino’s players club desk before you make a special trip.

ELLIS ISLAND

Here the “big” promotion is for blackjack players, a free EI growler for a suited “blackjack of the day.”  $10 minimum bet and “first fill on us” are the details on our monthly mailer.  “Refills only $7.50.”  Don’t know whether this is a bargain or not since I didn’t even know what a growler was when I read about the promo.  Bears in a casino?  I didn’t think so.  Thank goodness for Wikipedia!

If VP, not BJ, is your game, you might be more interested in the Triple Crown Card of the Day on Saturday, June 8th.  (They must have printed up this mailer before Orb blew the Preakness and chances for a Triple Crown!)  Anyway, they will “triple your bonus!” that day.  Better check for more details at the players club desk.  All I know from the mailer is that you get your (personalized?) card of the day at any Passport Central kiosk.

And then there is a free June Bingo Bonanza that is free for Copper up to the highest Elite players.  Again the details are at the players club.

Downtown Notes

4 Queens – Show a players card from any downtown casino and they will give you $10 in free play.  Offer can be redeemed only one time per player.

From a press release from the El Cortez (for you homesick Midwesterners):

Free White Castle in Honor of Flag Day – Friday, June 14, 2013

El Cortez Hotel & Casino is serving free White Castle cheeseburgers to celebrate Flag Day on Friday, June 14. Club Cortez members can enjoy free White Castle cheeseburgers while they play slots and table games, and the complimentary burgers will be served from noon to 6 p.m. White Castle is famous for their one-of-a-kind Slyder ®, which offers a delicious hamburger patty with White Castle’s signature steamed onions and cheese.

  1. This 4 Queens promo has been going on for quite a few months and has no advertised end date. But as usual with so many of these types of casino promos one never knows when it will be pulled.

  2. Rob Reid says:

Jean-any insight as to how long the 4Q’s $10 promotion might last? We have reservations for a tournament there July 19th-21st.

  3. Bill Clark says:

I wish that we were going to
be in town for these fine times.

  4. Oops – thanks for the correction. My mind got confused there for the moment.

  5. Linda Andrae says:

    Hi Jean –
Many thanks for your informative, instructive column. Need to tell you, though, Orb blew the Preakness, the Belmont is still to be run.
