CAESARS PALACE
I imagine many of you will be town December 4-8, using your shopping points at the Great Gift Wrap Up at Caesars Palace. Brad and I will be there on Saturday and Sunday, the 7th and 8th. We will likely be playing in the early afternoons in one of the High Limit areas so stop and say “Hi” if you spot us. I’ll be the one with the antlers! We are always glad to take a short break from the machine and chat with other frugalities.

House Seats has extended its 2-years-for-1-price until the end of the year. Check it out at http://www.houseseats.com/. The only negative here is that it is only for Vegas locals. However, if you live in one of these areas: Reno/Lake Tahoe, Nevada and Sacramento California; San Francisco, California; Phoenix/Scottsdale, Arizona and Austin/San Antonio, Texas, there is a House Seats branch for you there.
TUSCANY
They are running a “Cruise into the Holidays” promotion in December, with cash drawings from 3-5 p.m. each Saturday. On December 28 the Grand Cruise Finale drawing is at 6 p.m. Good feature: if you don’t want the cruise package you can take $2000 cash instead.
Gift days are on Thursday and feature various luggage selections.
You can earn “Holiday Bucks” on machines and table games through December 18 and use them to “shop” on December 17 and 18th. As usual for all promotions, check at the players club for details.
PALMS
Here are some more details about the ““Play, Earn, and Win” promotion: Anyone can do this promo, locals or out-of-towners. Below is the list of gift cards you can earn. Maximum redemption of ONE of each featured prize offer per person per day. But you can do this as many days as you wish, Monday, Wednesday, Friday through Dec. 23rd. Points must be earned in the same day for prize redemption. Prizes must be redeemed on date that points were earned. No carry-over of points this month as there has been in some previous ones.

Jean, thanks for providing this information! It looks pretty straightforward: $450 coin-in equals $1 in Visa Cards or other goodies. I would presume that since you only get one card of any type per day, that you should stop dead whenever you reach the threshold for a given card (so re Mo’s comment, no, you’d only get the $25, not the $3 as well). A $1 rebate on $450 worth of action equates to 0.22%. The slot club points (which you keep) are worth 0.25%. So the combined benefits are worth 0.47%. The best games you can play at the Palms that are eligible for promos are NSUD and JOB. There are only a few NSUD but lots and lots of JOB, including multiline. If you play NSUD, the inherent return of 99.73% plus the 0.47 means you are playing at 100.2% with perfect play. For JOB, add the 99.54% to 0.47% and you get dead breakeven at 100.01%. So in either case, you’d be much better off playing the no-promo FPDW, and equally well off playing the no-promo FPDB–or for that matter, playing NSUD elsewhere in town on point multiplier days. The Palms promo, though nice, isn’t strong enough to warrant playing it as you barely break even, given the games that you have to play to be eligible for the promo. Too bad. I so love playing at the Palms with its 90-decibel ambiance and all the underage bimbettes maxing out Daddy’s credit card.

Do I understand the promotion correctly to say if I do get to Vegas (on a Wednesday) and earn 13600 video poker points that I can get a 25 gift certificate and a $3 slot voucher by midnight? (I presume I must use the voucher also before midnight)
