The rather-newly-opened replacement for the old Sahara is already changing its players club.   According to a full-page in today Review-Journal, it is a “new club,” with “new tiers” and “new benefits,” although it seems to be keeping the same name, The CODE.   They are also advertising 2x tier credits every day in June and 10x points on slots every Thursday.  Since this seems to be a sudden change, you will need to check http://www.vpfree2.com/casino/sls-las-vegas/club in a few days for details of the new club,  and perhaps the casino’s own Website will  finally get around to announcing this information eventually.

BOYD PROPERTIES (Sam’s Town, The Orleans, Suncoast, and Gold Coast)

A new long-term senior promotion is running at all 4 properties from June 3 until the end of the year.  It is called “Young at Heart After Dark” and runs every Wednesday from 7 p.m. until 11:59 p.m.   Rules and benefits are explained at http://tinyurl.com/p8obrxv.  This is similar to the “Young at Heart” daytime Wednesday promotion (7a.m-7p.m.) that has been running for quite a while and is continuing.  See the updated rules and benefits for it at http://tinyurl.com/orbwo26.  In both cases be alert for detail differences among the 4 properties, especially the multiplier caps and the various benefits.

The “ATE, ATE, ATE” promotion continues at all 4 properties – a dinner buffet for $8.88 (get it? 🙂 ).  Be aware of a couple of important details:  This is not available on holidays.  And it runs only Monday through Thursday, except it is also available on Sundays  at the Suncoast.

As usual, when a month ends on a weekend, casino Websites often don’t have the next month’s promotion information up soon enough for this report.  And that is the case for an interesting promotion mentioned in my Gold Coast mailer – “B Loyal to the Royal” – with a weekly drawing feature and, more importantly, royal bonuses.  Not sure if this is only going on at the Gold Coast, but you may want to check this out when their Website is updated, hopefully June 1.

Correction of error in former blogs:  I had said the Palms no longer had a senior program.  It is true that most of the Thursday senior promotions are gone, but one remains: Thursday buffets are half-price for seniors, whether you use cash or points.

“Play for Prizes” is running as usual on Monday through Friday.  The first period is June 1-12, offering free play instead of the usual gift cards.  The second is June 15-26, when you can play for Fry’s Electronics gift cards.  This month there is a third “bonus” period, June 29-July 3, with everyone’s favorite prize offering – CASH!  Redemption times for all three are the same as usual, Monday through Thursday, 10 a.m.-10 p.m., and Fridays 10 a.m.-midnight.
